The new low-floor Crossway LE city bus chain IRISBUS IVECO, designed and built in Vysokém Mýtě, is named after the orginal Crossway bus. The Crossway LE bus fulfills many of the requirements of the city bus Citelis. The Crossway LE is low-riding in the front of the bus, making boarding the bus easy and comfortable. This also makes the bus affordable. The bus is also equiped with a ramp for disabled people and kneelings system. The new designs were based upon those of the Karosa B 900 due to its success as a city bus: Low fuel consumption, great safety record, comfort and easy access. This bus was designed with the passenger in mind and is very quiet and comfortable. The wide aisles allow passengers to get to their seats without dumping into anyone already seated. The ceiling of the bus is also designed with passenger comfort in mind. Equipt with vertical poles which are bent twice to allow standing passengers to hold on comfortably and not crowd the seater passengers below. The seating area is broken up by dividers and the seats are designed to be esthetically pleasing as well as comfortable. This model can be adapted to have full accessability to people with special needs. It it equipt with a hydraulic floor that rises and lowers as needed. This model is also equipt with a ramp for those with passenger special needs. |

The IRISBUS IVECO Citelis CNG has a low-floor throughout the entire bus. With the front entrance step at 320mm and the back entrance at 330mm. Passengers can enter the bus through three sets of doors, which open inward and are electronically controlled by the driver. There is an open area across from the middle door for baby carriages and wheel chairs. Whose boarding and exiting of the bus is assisted by a retractable ramp. The twelve metre model of the IRISBUS IVECO Citelis CNG bus has eight pressure tanks which are made from a compound of light materials made by DYNETEK. All together these tanks hold 1 240 litres. When filled to 100% buses can run for up to 600km. |

The IRISBUS IVECO Citelis 18M CNG bus is the longer model of the Citelis 12m bus, it uses a Iveco Cursor 8 CNG EEV engine, which runs on natural gas. Using natural gas for fuel in public transportation vehicles isn’t only ecologically friendly but also has many economic benefits. It is one of the current trends in public transportation. The IRISBUS IVECO Citelis CNG bus is a low-floor bus, with a entrance step of 320mm at the front door. and the back entrance at 330mm. Passengers can enter the bus through three sets of doors, which open inward and are electronically controlled by the driver. There is an open area across from the middle door for baby carriages and wheel chairs, whose boarding and exiting of the bus is assisted by a retractable ramp. The body of the bus is made using two vehicles using an articulated bus system. The body of the bus is painted with three layers. These layers make sure the body of the bus is protected against all the elements and the paint does not chip or fade. |
